Looking For Home
Guan Wei 2000

Statement about the Work:

1. There is a viewpoint that believes our human being could
be immigrated from outer space some times ago and
settle down on Earth. Also, some people believe me live in
the outer space brought civilization to Earth. There are
many fable about metagalaxy and stany sky all most in
every language. In the dead hours of me night if you gaze
into the beautiful starry sky above, you could feel carefree
and expansive. You could be shaken and surprised by
looking into this tremendous space. You could imagine
some beautiful boundless association. Like famous
Germany philosopher Kant said:' Stars in sky and value of
    human societies.'
2. This work is trying to tell the story of human being looking
for new homeland. It is not only the place where we live it
is also a spiritual home to return to. m the tremendous
space which star should be our new home in the future?
These two asterisks are all given to human body image.
They are flying and chatting. The color of this painting is
in  a cold green hue. It represents the outer space. Galaxy
is transcurrent from left to right and upon and down through
whole picture. The pink bodies present our human being.
They are searching stars I try to create an auspicious and
varied angles new landscape that base on the humanities,
history, ecology, mythology, science and the cultures of
